Working for the man...

Actually, I've been working for the women lately, specifically for the Young Womens Christian Association, or the YWCA of Adelaide. I've been fortunate enough to be doing a system review and business gap analysis to help them align their IT systems with the strategic plan. 

The YWCA is a not for profit, and do great work for the women of Adelaide, including providing a variety of support services, professional mentoring for young women and advocating for women against violence and domestic abuse. They are also responsible for the SA area for the Big Brother Big Sister program which provides role models for young children.

From a technology perspective the YWCA are looking to improve the overall quality and reliability of their systems and processes and to utilise technology to enhance the service they can provide to their members.

Hopefully I'll continue working with them for the foreseeable future as they start to go out to market to look for a new business management system to fill the 'gaps' we identified between where they are now and where they aspire to be.
